One of the earliest flower to bloom in Nova Scotia is the Trailing Arbutus, or as it is called in Nova Scotia, the Mayflower. When we arrived back in Nova Scotia in mid-April, the Crocuses were past and some flowers were blooming. The Mayflower can be expected by late April and early May (hence the name).
