We stopped at Corning, NY to visit the Corning Glass Museum for a half day. It is a fascinating collection of glass. This first century Roman Glass Cup with raised figures was once owned by J.P. Morgan and is called the Morgan Cup. It is a cameo with two layers: opaque white over translucent deep blue. The cup was blown and cased, then ground, carved, and polished.
