Obituary | Died on 10th inst. Mary A., wife of Joseph L.Bogan. Mrs. B., whose maiden name was Kearn, was born in the year 1816, in Scotland. In 1834 she emigrated to his country and arrived in New York City. She afterward came to Stark county, this state at which place she was married to Mr.B. in 1839. They came to Marion and then moved to Indiana, where they leived several years and then came to Crawford county, where they lived ever since. Their union was blessed with twelve children, eight boys and four girls, of which number two boys and one girl preceded her in death. She was taken sick about six months ago. They lived happily together for many years. She was a kind mother and a very industrious housewife and will therefore be much missed. The funeral took place last Sunday and was conducted by REv. Mr. Fryburger of North Robinson. Her remains were interred in the Bucyrus cemetery. A large funeral procession followed her to her last resting place, despite the unpleasant weather and terrible condition of the roads, which speaks for itself of her worthiness. She leaves an aged husband and nine children.Mr. Haines and Wife [«i»sister of Joseph L, Eleanor-LDB«/i»] , of Marion, and one brother and three sisters of the deceased, from Stark county, were here to attend the funeral of Mrs. J.L. Bogan. |
